Moylley as soylley da Ruth Keggin Gell as ish yn Greinneyder noa da Culture Vannin – congratulations to Ruth Keggin Gell who’s become the new Manx Language Development Officer for Culture Vannin.

Ruth is well-known as a singer and musician with an international career which has included releasing two albums under her own name, two with her band A’Nish and the inter-Gaelic project Aon Teanga : Un Chengey with Scottish singer Mary Ann Kennedy and Irish singer Eoghan O Ceannabhain. She was also involved with the Norwegian-Manx collaborative project with David Kilgallon and Tomas Callister and Erlend Apneseth and Margit Myrh.

Ruth represented the Manx branch of the Celtic Congress when she took part in the international concert of the ICC held in Kemper in Brittany in 2018.

In addition to carrying on the work established by Phil Gawne and Adrian Cain in role, Ruth will also be drawing on her musical ability in using songs to promote the Manx language. Ruth also has other commitments at present, but will be devoting herself full-time to the role as Yn Greinneyder from December onwards.
